Training

We ensure all of our staff here at Basing Care undergo rigorous and necessary training regimes. This includes our in-house induction training that covers a twelve week period in accordance with regulatory induction standards.

This training includes:

The principles of care
Company policy and procedures
Moving and handling
Health and safety (including fire safety)
Risk assessing
Medication awareness
Food and hygiene
Basic first aid
Abuse awareness
Dementia care

The training is inclusive of our initial three day intensive induction programme, which includes a shadowing process with one of our experienced Field Carer’s. A Field Carer will also carry out the role of mentor until all trainees have successfully completed this phase of the training.
