Accompanied Sitting Service

Maybe you look after a relative or friend who is unable to care for themselves. Perhaps you are in need of a short break so you can tend to those essential errands or simply so you can have some precious time to yourself, but the person you care for cannot be left alone.

Our Accompanied Sitting Service is a short term respite alternative, where a dedicated carer will come and provide companionship for the person you would normally care for, enabling you to have a much needed break.

Accompanied Sitting Service for people with Alzheimer’s and Dementia
related conditions

Current statistics show that there are nearly 700,000 people in the UK who suffer from Dementia. Recent studies have also shown that as we get older, regular mental stimuli is an important activity to help delay the onset of Alzheimer related diseases such as Dementia.

Recall exercises, sensory stimulation, coupled with the expertise from our experienced and trained staff in our Dementia Care Unit, provides a more holistic and reminiscent approach, which is not only therapeutic for people suffering from Dementia, but can provide a sitting service with a difference.

Whether you require just a few hours a week, or you wish to have the opportunity for a longer break, our Accompanied Sitting Service can provide you with the necessary respite care without having to make the difficult decision of having to place the person you care for into short term residential care.

If you require more information about this service, or you would like to know more about caring for someone with Dementia, we have specialised members of staff dedicated to help you with your concerns and enquiries.
